Grand Opening of West Palm Beach Waterfront
2/20/2010 Grand Opening of West Palm Beach Waterfront
West Palm Beach celebrated the opening of its new waterfront Saturday night with live music, a performance by Cirque Majik at Centennial Square, and fireworks. The $30 million park-style downtown project around the area of Flagler Drive and Clematis Street is now open to the public. The project made the West Palm Beach waterfront - long shielded by a now-demolished city library - fully visible and accessible for all to enjoy.
The Waterfront project is a 12.5-acre site with a large, open green, an events pavilion and a plethora of native vegetation. Studio Sprout, Inc. dba Roy-Fisher Associates worked with Michael Singer Studios, Stephen Boruff Architects, Catalfumo Construction and a team of highly skilled urban planners, specialty contractors and engineers to help this project come to fruition.
